This reminds me of the story of Candide by Voltaire. Where “Thinking Positively” creates a broken reality where:

Everything is for the best in this best of all possible worlds.

Thinking positively rarely solves problems and often feels like a bandaid over a wound that didn’t get disinfected.

There’s so much in this world we can’t control. If we want to guide our lives toward an outcome that’s worthwhile, it starts with coming to terms with reality.

Self-compassion, gratitude, and seeking opportunities are great tools for putting “positivity” into a framework that leads to tangible results.

Thanks for sharing these thoughts — Coach Blaise, EdD
